Background
Information is only as good as how well
it is understood by the intended audience, which emphasizes
the need for a strong design. The purpose of the design
is to package information, so that it can be understood
by the audience in the same way that you understand it.
In essence, the design can be thought of as a tool that
bridges the knowledge gap between the author and the audience.
The real difficulty lies in the fact that there is one author
versus an audience of thousands or even millions.

Good Design
What is a good design? A good design
connects the author and the intended audience, and puts them
on the same level field. A good design eliminates the discrepancy
between how the author conveys and the audience interprets
the information. A good design delivers the content without
altering it. A good design does all of this and remains aesthetically
pleasing.
